Transmission Area

Using radio waves to transmit signals, the effective transmission area is greatly different to infra-red systems.

With infra-red, you have to stay within certain left-right and top-bottom angles to the base station. The effective transmission area is a pie sector with the base in the center.

But, with radio frequency, the effective transmission area is a circle.

Transmission range is 30m radius, compared to DIR2000C's 10m by infra-red. Radio transmission can wrap around most obstacles, even doors and walls. But, reinforced concrete walls, and metal doors can reduce signal strength.

3x3 Transmission System

A robust system to provide smooth data transmission.

To avoid and minimise interference with other radio networks in your home, the base station constantly scans thru 3 channels for a clearer transmission channel. It also sends data 3 times as backup to ensure none or miminal data loss.

Dolby Headphones

With the Dolby Headphones chip, the realism of 5.1ch surround sound is produced in a headphone.

With 3 Dolby modes, DH1, DH2, DH3, each giving an increasing sense of space and reverberation.

The Headset

Improved Design

The DRS3000C system's headset, DHP3000 has many improvements over DHP2000 (headset for older model DIR2000C).

Voume control is on the right earcup.

It intelligently automatically powers off when placed lying down, ie. when not in use. When you wear it, it automatically turns on.

Superb audio quality

The headset by itself, even without surround sound features, is a great headphone, comfortable and stable to wear, and superb audio quality. Like most large diameter headphones, the 50mm voice driver gives a superb sensory experience.

Charging

To charge, simply place the headset on the vertically standing base. Clever convenient design, charges and holds your headphone. No need to fuss around for an AC adapter, and no need to buy a headphone stand.

Charging contact points are on top of the headband. Placing it on the base station is a breeze, the grooves clicks in easily.

Charging time is 3 hours, giving 7 hours of usage.

Comfortable to wear

Large 50mm earcups will effortlessly cover over your ear. Together with the comfortable earpad, you can wear it for long periods without any strain.
